Safe: Username does not exist
MV3.12, upgraded from MV3.11:
Whenever I create a new user, things seem to go OK at first -I get to the next screen and it says 'You are now logged in as user foo'.
The problems start when you log out and try to log back in again using the same username and password combination. Then I get the dreaded 'Username does not exist. '
The error logs state:
xxxxx.xxx.COM xRfZjixx:xxx.COM - [23/April/1999:18:10:31 -0700] project /cgi-bin/project.cgi/process Safe: Username does not exist.

I've tried my own new_account page as well as the ones from both the flycat and the simple demos, with no success. What am I doing wrong? I've seen a lot of questions about userdb on the list, but too few answers. Any help?
