Re: PGP
****** message to minivend-users from "Michael E. Havlicek" <havlicek@infinet.com> ******
Hi All,
I am getting ready to put a site live using MiniVend. I have a different
problem with the PGP encrypted credit card info. In the initial state
we just want to do backoffice processing of orders through the e-mail
sent to the "vendor". I am able to get the "Invoices" sent via e-mail
on the "Linux" side. When I read the e-mail using "elm" the credit card
info gets decrypted. But when I try to use "pine" the credit card info
(number) is only available as an encrypted attachment.
All of this really is sorta moot in the end. I am a consultant and
am not in the business of processing orders for this company:)
Teaching the client how to work under a UNIX shell is out of the
question....
For now, what I need to know is how an employee of the company can
pop mail to a Mac through a browser (netscape) and have the PGP encoded credit
card info decrypted within their display of the invoice.
Is there a plugin or some kind of directive that can be set for netscape
to decrypt pgp within netscape mail?
Thanks,
-Mike
