Update on weird shipping bug
****** message to minivend-users from "Kris Kelley" <sysadmin@jahoopa.com> ******
The mystery of my catalog apparently getting shipping and UPS zone
information from somewhere other than the proper "shipping.asc" and
"ups_zone.asc" files has been solved by completely stopping MiniVend
and then restarting it again. However, I'm still having the problem
of shipping rates not being calculated properly for a site that uses
several different product databases. The weights are always set to
zero, no matter what they actually are in the database files.
However, when I copy any particular database file to "products.asc",
the weights for those products are read fine and the shipping rates
calculated properly. I can't, however, move all my products to one
file, because each database has a unique set of columns (aside from
the "description", "weight", and other such columns that are common to
all of them).
I REALLY need help on this, and would appreciate commentary, even if
it's just a suggestion to try some alternative. All of my past
requests together have garnered exactly one reply, and I'm getting
very frustrated over this. Thank you.
---Kris Kelley
