currency in sql-lists

Hi!

I'm pretty new to minivend, and quite impressed.
My problem: I have a [sql type=list query=...] type list.
In this list I used [currency convert=1][sql-param price][/currency],
which worked with minivend 3.11. 

Now I've got 3.12 (nicer userdb),
but the above currency-construct does not work. The browser
hangs, and after a long time comes up with 
"... apache server internal error...".

I tried replacing [sql-param price] with a constant number, worked.
I tried removing [currency], worked.
I tried [currency convert=1]17[/currency] [sql-param price], worked too.
I even tried 
  [set name="pr" interpolate=1][sql-param price][/set]
  [currency convert=1][scratch pr][/currency], without success.
I even put interpolate=1 into the currency tag, with no avail.

It seems like [currency] inside a sql-list can't evaluate further
minivend tags. 

Has anyone explantions or advice what to do?
