The PID is the "Process Identification", which is a number. The PID file
is where Minivend records it's PID so the stop and restart scripts can find
Minivend. If the file doesn't exist (No such file or directory) it means
that Minivend was not able to create that file. This is a UNIX permissions
issue. (Minivend does not have permission to write where it needs to)

Ask your ISP if they could put a symbolic link in /usr/local/bin/perl
pointing to /usr/bin/perl. That way you would not have to worry about it
ever.
