is this possible w/ MV?
****** message to minivend-users from Ace Kumar <ace@digiknow.com> ******
I need to set up a shopping system for a new client. The client wants to
be able to be able to combine "subproducts" (each with their own separate
cost) into one main "product" (the cost of which is calculated by adding
together all of the subproducts).
There is no limit on the number of subproducts that a shopper can buy.
But, the shopper has to be able to by multiple main products.
Let's say the shop is selling flowers. A shopper needs to be able to
"build" their own bouquet by buying individual flowers. However, I need
to be able to show separate complete bouquets.
For example:
Flower A 10.00
Flower B 20.00
Flower C 5.00
Flower D 15.00
----------------------
Bouquet 1 50.00
Flower A 10.00
Flower E 20.00
Flower F 5.00
----------------------
Bouquet 2 35.00
Can minivend handle this? I know I can buy the separate products with no
problems, but can I have them grouped together like this?
Maybe using multiple shopping carts? I think this is what I want to do,
but I'm not sure about how I would name each cart. If I do that, can I
I access the different carts with an MV tag, so I can do something like
this?
[loop arg="[carts]"]
[item-list]
stuff
[/item-list]
[/loop]
I suppose I could do this with [perl] but, I'd like to avoid using it if
possible (since it tends to slow things down).
Any comments/suggestions would be apprecicated.
