Passing values in from a static page into MV.

Hi All,
    I'm note even sure that this can really even be done... I've been trying to pass a
value from a static HTML page, into the MV system...

    I have the following data: recnum=934349934, and what I'd like to do is to be able to
access via [value recnum] in the MV space.  I've tried almost everything, even something
like:
<A HREF="http://yourcatalog.com/cgi-bin/yourcat/sp_offer?;;recnum=934349934

    Anyone have any ideas?
