data base in a search-list?

Hi all,
 
On my result search page I want to be able to get
information from the products.asc file. no data
appeared.

[search-list]
[sort] selection:selected selection:scode[/sort]
[item-data selection scode]
[data base="products" field="f2_firstname"
key="[item-data selection scode]"]
[data base="products" field="f2_lastname"
key="[item-data selection scode]"]
[/search-list]
