odd error with secure pages generating incorrect urls

I'm having some odd problems with secure pages generating
 incorrect url's and was wondering if anyone can help me

ok, here's the series of events.. I've placed items in the shopping cart,
 and am about to go to checkout
I am at URL:
http://www.guildgear.com/cgi-bin/guildgear/process?FG8woh52;;104
I hit checkout, and it takes me to the secure server (same machine,
different
 directory and different address since the customer doesn't want to spring
 for his own secure certificate.. so he's hanging off of ours)

now I start entering things.. once I get to the state it automatically
refreshes
 to change the sales tax entry.. but at this point it breaks...

does anyone have any idea where the extra /guildgear comes from?
if it helps I'm running under SunOS 5.5, and using netscape fastrack server
2.0
as far as I can see this is generating no error log traffic
(I get the no page-under construction page when I try to go there)
