Thanks for the input. I am curious if anyone has done a search based with
[if] statements in the fields or searchform..

I have drop downs for some of the searchspecs. but if they are blank I
don't want it to search the specific category for that, yet if they pick
something I want it to search Only that category for that choice..

Like if you were looking for a woman on a online matching system.. if you
didn't care about hair color and you left the drop down to "none specified"
(value="") category=hair, and then you had one for eyes and you chose blue
and then you chose smoker for weither she smokes or not.

I would want it to not scan the hair field but search for the eyes and
search for a smoker. and if more drop downs were selected, search those as
well.

But I mean I don't want the BLUE choice to search the, let's say Favorite
color category, only look for blue in the eyes category..

And this was just a example :)


I have just never delt with anything so confusing and was hoping maybe
someone had experimented with this.
