Sorry for ma bad english :-(
All I want to know is the proper syntax.
Suppose that we have:
database name products

SQL box name: SQLname

SQL box ip SQLip

SQL communication port: SQLport

communication method: ODBC over TCP/IP

Data Sounrce Name: DSN

should the database line in catalog.cfg look like:

Database products products dbi:ODBC:TCP/IP SQLii SQLport

or

Database products products dbi:ODBC:uDSN SQLname 

or any combination of the above???

FYI:

 

I managed to use DBI:ODBC when Mini Vend and ODBC data source is on the same
NT box and the syntax is:

Database products products dbi:ODBC:uDSN

but what if the ODBC data source is on the remote machine, the above syntax
is not working in this situation.
