Simple demo products disapearing after search

Hello,

I'm very new to minivend.  I installed the demo over the weekend.  Most
things are working OK.  However, when I execute a search, I'll get a
page that says, e.g., '2 titles found'.  But no titles will be listed.
The nav bar is at the bottom of the page.  Next, the only items that
show up are under the 'Renaissance' and 'Surrealists' categories.  The
other categories show the same behavior as the search: 'X titles found'
but no titles will be listed.  Even stranger, if I close my browser then
reopen it, the category pages work correctly again, until I search,
which causes the titles not to be listed, again.

Very strange behavior.

System Info: (lightly loaded system)
Redhat Linux 5.2
kernel 2.0.36
minivend 3.11
perl 5.004_05
Apache 1.3.3

I've removed files and reinstalled a few times but get the same behavior
every time.  Is there something wrong with my perl or ?.  Has anyone had
similar problems?

Any help appreciated as I'm new here and don't really know where to
begin.
