Question about installing MiniVend

Hi, I'm reading the documentation and its not
clear to me whether I have to have super user
status to install minivend.

Here's the story.  I've done a shopping cart
already for a customer who's site is hosted on
the www.best.com server.

Now I want to do another shopping cart on the same
server but this time use MiniVend.

www.best.com allows each customer to have one
background process running, so in this case it
would be the MiniVend server.


MiniVend doesn't require an entry in the /etc/inetd.conf
file does it?

What if the www.best.com server crashes how do I
get the MiniVend server going again - do I use the
`at' command to make an entry in the cron table?
