You can't have two versions of MV without making sure that you have no overlap of TCP
ports that the MV's are listening to, both for ADMIN and for catalog support.  Also,
have you confirmed the obvious like the version of Perl and that MV is being started
with the correct UID/GUD and access to your CGI and database locations?
