installation problems

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am trying to set up MV 3.11 on a Solaris 2.6 Sparc 5

When I click on the search, browse or sub department links on the
"simple" demo page I receive the following error:

"Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was
unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, kwoodward@mum.edu and inform
them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done
that may have caused the error."

I receive the following in my error_log file:

[Tue Mar  9 00:24:52 1999] [error] Premature end of script headers:
/usr/local/www/cgi-bin/simple
[Tue Mar  9 00:24:53 1999] [error] Premature end of script headers:
/usr/local/www/cgi-bin/simple
=============================================

I have reinstalled 5 times, tried various owners and rights and searched
through the docs and faqs to no avail.

Can you advise me please?
