Unfortunately not Oracle.  I've already been down the ROWNUM route
before, also, which doesn't work because I need to sort the rows in
descending order (which messes up the ROWNUMs.

So, I _really_ need a counter loop in MV.  Or one hell of a good way to
implement a "top 5" query in Oracle.
