What Seciruity Rights Needed?

What OS security rights need to be set in order for Minivend to work.
Are there special access rights to system files or folders needed in
order to get it set up with my ISP?
My ISP has a customized version of Red Hat Linux 4. I have installed
Minivend 3.11.
The Install seems to have gone fine, but the demo does not work. I do
get the intro(first) page of the demo, but no
access to the product page. eg. Impressionist. 
I get "Internal Server Error" when I try to access a product page.

This link gets me to the main page
http://www.herbalamerica.com/simple/

BUT

it looks in the cgi-bin when trying to access the product page
http://www.herbalamerica.com/cgi-bin/simple/scan/mp=0/se=Impressionists

shouldn't my first url be (with "cgi-bin" in URL)
http://www.herbalamerica.com/cgi-bin/simple/

and not

http://www.herbalamerica.com/simple/
