We offer minivend as part of an overall integrated publishing
package that **starts** at approx $150 a month or is negotiated
on an annual basis. It includes quite a bit more than minivend:
flavors of SQL, our page builders, registered users, profiled
email lists, tie in to off-site gateway boxes, and soon
even linux POS. It includes maintenance of same. Of late
we've added regular "development/marketing" meetings with
clients pushing the 'Net. Consequently our business is
increasingly local, say 1.5 hrs drive max because we do lots
of hands on.

I'd guess one might provide shell accounts capable of running
minivend for $20-$35 a month with some limits to protect abuse.
That could not include maintenance or upgrades to new versions
or any `support'. We have, however, decided to go the full
service route instead; that's just our business model. Over
the past couple of years the do-it-yourself clients who would
be interested have either asked us to take over their sites
or have moved on to the inexpensive web-hosting farms.
