The field you specify in shipping.asc is accumulated.
code description criteria min max formula
upsg UPS Ground price 0 40.00 3.50
upsg UPS Ground price 40.01 80.00 3.00
upsg UPS Ground price 80.01 120.00 2.50
upsg UPS Ground price 120.01 999999.00 0
works like a charm. Change the limits and charge to suit.
