I know that this is right and I know that many have succeeded in
finding the 
proper use and I would urge the ones who have, to nail down what
others 
might be missing in setting up the searches right for gdbm tables with
more 
than 500 000 entries. I can't (yet :-/), but others besides Mike Heins
do.
