[item-code] in buttonbar

Hello all-
	Probably a mundane question but :

I have a few buttonbar files I am using and they work great except 
for one issue :

One buttonbar is using Javascripts for mouseover image switching. In 
order to make this happen on the 'place in basket image' I am using 
this tag :

[area order [item-code]]

It parses the tag correct but instead of putting in the order code I 
get this as a link :

/order?session;%5bitem-code;64]

where session is the session ID.

So, its like URLencoding the first '[' and then accepting the first 
closing ']' and thus not parsing the product ID properly so this item 
can be ordered.

Any ideas? If I manually type in the URL everything works fine so I 
know its just a matter of the buttonbar tags not getting parsed at 
this level. Any suggestions are appreciated, this is driving me 
insane!
