list of categories

My last question for today ;-)...

How do I create a list of the categories in my products-file? 

I&#180;ve tried

[search-region arg="di=category/rf=0/rf=category/un=true"]
  [search-list]
       [item-field category] <br>
  [/search-list]
[/search-region]

But this did not create a list of unique categories (some of them are
listed multiple times)... So I&#180;ve tried to put an [on change 1] around
it, but this did not work either.

I want to do this to automatically create the categories-list on my
index-page like:

<a href="[area scan di=category/ml=3/df=yes/dl=CD-Writer]">
  CD-Writer</A><BR>
<a href="[area scan di=category/ml=3/df=yes/dl=Drucker]">
  Drucker</A><BR>
<a href="[area scan di=category/ml=3/df=yes/dl=Datensicherung]">
  Datensicherung</A><BR>
