****** message to minivend-users from "Hans-Joachim Leidinger" <hans-joachim.leidinger@home.gelsen-net.de> ******
Hello Thomas,
look into the file "minivend.bat" and check the path...i.e.
set MINIVEND_ROOT=c:\root\subroot\mvend
C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe c:\root\subroot\mvend/bin/minivend -serve
and try with this
C:\mvend>c:\mvend\minivend.bat
or got into the mvend-DIR and type minivend.bat
I hope, it help you!
Joachim

Betreff: Setup question
Hello. First I would like to say how grateful I am that your
product is available. I am eager to get it up and running, but I have
one problem. Your time in answering my question is most apppreciated.
My local machine is Win95, and I will be loading my catalog to an
appropriate server.
My version of Perl is 5.005 (Active Perl) build 509, which I believe
is OK
Upon installation and subsequent attempts at using "start minivend
server" I get the following message:
C:\mvend>C:perl\bin\perl.exe /mvend/bin/minivend -serve
can't open perl script "/mvend/bin/minivend": no such file or
directory
I checked the c:\mvend\bin directory and found no "minivend" file
I checked the c:\perl\bin directory and DID find the perl.exe file
The error.log file was blank
I searched through all the minivend documentation, and did not find
an answer in the FAQ's, although they are thorough and helpful. Again,
any help you could suggest is most appreciated! please email any
response to tom@computerguyri.com
Thank you very much!! :-)
