Q: ignoring upper/lower case in SQL searches?

****** message to minivend-users from "Sparks, Alan" <asparks@harris.com> ******

Is there a way to write a SQL search that ignores uppercase/lowercase
differences? I've tried building a search using the mv_search_field and
mv_orsearch type tags (since I have TWO fields to search), which works, but is
case sensitive.

If I try to use a mv_sql_query type approach, and have one mv_searchspec but two
question marks in the query, it looks like the second one isn't replaced.

Anyone have any tips? Much thanks in advance for any advice.
-Alan
