Adding a <textarea> in checkout and report-page?

Dear reader,

i'm able to add a textarea-field (60 chars and 10 lines) in the
checkpout-page, but how can i get the information in this textarea into
the report-page an into the email to the order-email?

Any help ist very wellcome!
