Server Died

Hello List:
Any ideas on this one? Minivend ver. 3.11, Sun server.
Very frequently MV locks up. Doing a ps, you see 2 *two* "minivend
-serve" processes. And this message in error.log:
- - - [17/January/1999:08:32:20 -0500] - - Died in select, retrying:
accept: Protocol error at /opt2/home3/pennherb/mvend/lib/Vend/Server.pm
line 801.
The second process is a child process to the first one. If you kill the
child process, MV magically revives.
Any ideas?
