Newbie Price Question

I am trying to use minivend with a large pre-existing products database from
MySQL.
The designer of the database put in two price fields, because each product
comes in two unit sizes.
There is no common denomination for how the two units are priced, so on the
order form, I need to be able to select the unit size that the customer is
ordering and base my price on the selected unit size per item in the
shopping cart.

I've been through the documentation, and the mailing list and either I've
missed the obvious, or I need a little more complicated strategy than the
average user.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.
