Re: SSL on another domain(account), but same machine?
****** message to minivend-users from "Vic" <vic777@primenet.com> ******
I'm dealing with a similar issue right now. What Thawte and RedHat are
telling me is that each unique domain needs it's own unique certificate.
Thawte offers certificates that let one host different hosts in the same
domain (*.domain.com) but different domains needs unique certificates.
Redhat's Secure Server can handle multiple certificates, but I do not YET
have all the details on doing separate genkey and makecert requests for each
certificate. The Virtual Host section has a directive that points to the
appropriate certificate file, but to have httpsd daemon start, and manage
each certificate correctly ... I haven't gotten an answer on that one, maybe
by Monday I'll have that sorted out. If anyone else knows this... sound
off, please! ... Of course, you could always point your secure server to to
www.xyz.com and add some type of directory directive, but it would look kind
of goofy IMHO.
