Cool. I could play guitar and get the backup to all dress up like
Lister from Red Dwarf. Instant geek-fame.

See my previous email from just a few hours ago... the
documentation says that the
shipping.asc
salestax.asc
accessories.asc
pricing.asc
databases must be "fixed special formats". I don't know if you
can have those in SQL databases or not...
Anyhow, I'm pretty sure the above files only affect things like
the [price] tags and [accessories] tags (and the results they would
return), so I am going to forget about using the above tables and just put
everything into the MySQL database. Then, I'll write my own Perl and SQL
code (within the MiniVend pages) to perform whatever actions I want.
E.g.: I won't have a "salestax.asc", but I'll have a special SQL
table (perhaps called "Taxes" or something similar) where I store the same
kind of information. Then, I can write Perl code to draw out the tax
info and modify the MiniVend variables (pricing, etc.) accordingly.
If anyone sees a problem with this approach, let me know. I'll
post the results of my work to this list (I'll be working on this over the
next few days).
